Storm Report 8/25-8/29

Cyclones,
We are already in week 3 at CENMS and it is evident in the classrooms we have been visiting. Our students are hard at work learning and growing together. Another huge thanks to our superstar faculty and staff for making the start of the 25–26 school year such a success. Please see our SHOUTOUT section below to leave a message for a staff member who has helped make a difference for you and your student.
Few Important Reminders:
- Picture Day: Monday August 25th is picture day!
- Upcoming Testing: ELA FAST Test will be Wednesday 9/3 and MATH FAST Test will be Wednesday 9/10 for all students. Please make sure they sleep good and grab some breakfast before testing.
- Car Loop Tips: Avoid using phones, and follow staff directions for safety. Use the interior lane only for drop-off/pick-up. Please avoid dropping off before the STEM center.
- Student Wireless Communication Devices: In accordance with an update in Florida state legislative policy, grades Pre-K through 8 students who bring WCDs to school must ensure that they remain on silent mode and completely out of view for the entire school day. Students with devices will be sent to the office to turn devices in and sign our WCD log.
- Student Dress Code: Shirts must have straps and cover the waist; no halter tops, crop tops, or visible undergarments. Bottoms should be long enough to fully cover the buttocks. Students out of dress will be sent to the office to change and sign our dress code log.
Thanks for your continued support and partnership!

Also, a quick reminder: paper notes for absences will no longer be accepted. Please use your Parent Portal to submit all absence requests electronically. More information in the ATTEND & ACHIEVE section of the newsletter.
This ensures faster processing and accurate record-keeping. Thank you for helping us maintain accurate attendance records!

Car
Loop
Procedures
Car Loop Procedures
Parents/Guardians should stay in the interior lane of the car loop closest to the sidewalk and pull all the way forward to the front of the car loop. Students may only exit from the passenger side of the vehicle. Parents may not allow students to exit vehicles in the exterior lane closest to the lot spaces. This is a major safety issue. Follow staff directions in parking lot. Student drop off begins at 8:15 am.

Requests
Schedule Change Requests
All requests should be completed using the link on our website. Students should not submit more than one schedule change request or send emails to counselors as it slows down the completion process. We are working diligently to complete schedule change requests as soon as possible. We aim to get schedules corrected or requests addressed as soon as possible and notify you whether or not the change is possible. Thank you so much for your patience.
